Smoked Roasted Tomato Salsa Recipe

This Smoked Roasted Tomato Salsa is the perfect accompaniment to barbecued meats, and makes a great dip for outdoor snacks. The Applewood adds a classic smoky depth to the salsa, with a sweet hint of fruitiness. Perfect served with our Smoked BBQ Chicken.

Ingredients Equipment from
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil Sharp Knife
10 Halved Plum Tomatoes Baking Tray
1 Quartered Large Onion Blender
3-4 Jalapenos Polyscience Smoking Gun
2 Garlic Cloves Applewood Chips
Salt and Pepper Ramekins
Handful Chopped Coriander


1. Place your halved plum tomatoes, jalapenos, quartered onion and garlic (not peeled) onto your baking sheet.

2. Drizzle with olive oil and grill on a medium heat for around 7 minutes, until you find your tomatoes and jalapenos are slightly charred.

3. Let cool until it reaches a temperature that is comfortable for you to handle.

4. Peel your roasted garlic and then transfer all your ingredients into a blender.

6. Blend until smooth, while blending the smoke will infuse your salsa.

7. Serve the desired amount in dipping pots, ready to enjoy at your barbecue.
